DallasHR is proud to support Wilkinson Center as the 2018 Chapter Community Outreach Effort. Throughout the year our HR community will band together to share our knowledge, time, and resources to make an impact on our local community. Individually we make a positive impact on our company each day and when we come together all year we can impact an entire community.
The Wilkinson Center mission is to transform the lives of Dallas families by providing pathways to self-sufficiency with dignity and respect. They fulfill that mission by helping families face critical life challenges including food insecurity, lack of education, economic instability, unemployment and underemployment. Our formula for success is case management, compassionate staff, dedicated volunteers and effective individualized programming. All of our programs are provided free of charge of charge.
The Wilkinson Center receives the delivery of meals packed by the dedicated members of DallasHR. The delivery, made by 2018 Chapter President, Dustin Paschal; Chapter President-Elect, Mark Waller; and Director of Membership, Tim Gunn; was accepted by Welton Morgan who manages the Soup Kitchen. Welton provided the DallasHR representatives with a tour of the facilities grocery store style food pantry. The combined delivery is expected to impact more than 500 local families.
Forty three dedicated and passionate HR professionals came together to support our 2018 Community Outreach organization, The Wilkinson Center. The Center’s Food Pantry is the honored recipient of 4,096 meals which beat the original goal of 3,000 meals in 30 minutes. This packing event was designed to provide our members with a simple, engaging, and cost-effective way for their own companies to support local organizations. View more pictures from the evening.
