This webinar will focus on how an organization can reorient some of the most basic activities of frontline managers towards a conversational approach to talent and performance management. By the end of this session, participants will be able to articulate six essential manager-staff conversations, as well as some of the benefits associated with these conversations and a framework for giving performance feedback consistent with those six conversations.
About the Speaker
STEVE KING, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF PROFESSIONAL AND EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT, WISCONSIN SCHOOL OF BUSINESS at the UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN
Before coming to the university, Steve served for five years as the vice president of talent management for Baxter International. Prior to that position, he was the senior vice president of human resources for seven years at Hewitt Associates, with responsibility for all aspects of human resources for the international consulting and outsourcing firm. He was also Hewitt’s chief learning officer for three years.
Prior to joining Hewitt, Steve was with the Bank of Montreal’s Institute for Learning, where he served as the faculty head for leadership and change management. He also held training and management development positions within Caremark and Harris Bank in Chicago.
Steve has an M.A. from the University of Wisconsin and a B.A. from the University of Iowa, both in economics.
