Acclimation Challenges for Permanent Transfers to the US

Jane Woolston, with Sabre GLBL Inc, will lead us through an informative discussion on the challenges with acclimating employees and their families who are permanently transferring to the US.  She will share how her Global Mobility team manages and overcomes these challenges.

Jane will be joined by Andrew Cox, with Mycredex, who will elaborate on the specific difficulties permanent transfers encounter when obtaining credit in the US and their best practices in resolving these situations.

Program Learning Objectives
  1. Identify process to relocate permanent transfers to US. 
  2. Learn about the known challenges of permanently relocating employees to the US and how to identify and manage potential problems they will run into during their relocation.
  3. Learn how to utilize policy, set expectations and partner with others to prevent and/or overcome issues related to permanently transferring employees and their families to the US.

About the Speaker

JANE WOOLSTON, PRINCIPLE, GLOBAL MOBILITY, SABRE GLBL, INC.

With substantial Immigration expertise and Global Mobility experience, Jane has held a variety of professional and managerial roles in HR and Legal Affairs while employed with EDS and HP.  Her current role is Principal, Global Mobility at Sabre GLBL Inc, in Southlake, Texas.  Jane founded Texas Immigration Coalition (TIC) in 1999 and served as a Board Member of American Council on International Personnel (ACIP) from 1992 to 2009.  Jane graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

ANDREW COX, FOUNDER & CEO, MYCREDEX

A serial expatriate with 7 international moves at GM, VP and CMO level over the course of 25 year career developing consumer brand and financial services businesses in the UK, US, Latin America, Asia and Europe.  Andrew is uniquely placed to understand the needs of incoming talent, the concerns of their employers, and build the interface with financial institutions enabling access to reasonably priced facilities.  Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, he holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Portsmouth and a MBA from Cranfield University. Andrew served as a Board Member of American Council on International Personnel (ACIP) from 1992 to 2009 and is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration.

IMPORTANT: Advance reservations with payment are strongly recommended. We cannot guarantee seating for onsite registrants. Payment will be required for reservations made but not kept, unless cancelled prior to the registration deadline indicated. To receive cancellation credit, you must fax your cancellation request no later than 4 days before the scheduled event. No-shows will be billed.
