Generational Webinar Series

A three-part series focused on understanding and responding to Generational Challenges.

Who are the Generations?

May 29, 2015
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Four generations arrive at work each day - Veterans, Baby Boomers, Gen Xers and Gen Ys - each with backgrounds, preferences, approaches and nuances unique to the generation they represent. Noticeably, each generation has a different view of the relationship between work and life.  Awareness is the first step to dealing with differences. This is not a matter of right or wrong. Join us for a high level look at each generation:  where they’ve come from, how they operate, and what they’re looking for day in and day out.

The Millennials and The Boomers – Understand the Clash!

June 26, 2015
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

“The problem with young people today…..”  is an all-too common phrase of the Baby Boomers as they observe and reflect on the Millennials. The rub is predictable. We are currently on a bridge between where we’ve been and where we’re headed. The Boomers are exiting; Millennials are entering! Important to consider, the Baby Boomers are the authors of our current corporate cultures, and the Millennials are entering organizations as the disinterested recipients of these long-standing cultures. In order to move forward, it will be prudent for organizational leaders to understand the current reality.

What Are We To Do?  Tips & Strategies to Attract, Develop and Retain the Emerging Workforce

July 31, 2015
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

By 2020, 50% of our workforce within the United States will be comprised of Millennials. They are easily disenchanted by their experiences in the organizations they join; their average tenures fall in the 18-month range; many will have upwards of a dozen jobs in their lifetime; they are unimpressed by authority; they are loyal to themselves first; and they operate in large part as free agents. So what are we to do? Be intentional!  While most organizations understand things need to change to attract and retain the future workforce, fewer than 25% have an actual plan. We will take a look at tips and strategies at the organizational level and at the individual leader level.
