Hiring and Retaining the Veteran Workforce
This presentation will discuss the needs of employers in today’s labor market, the issues employers are facing with finding the right veteran candidates and the challenges employers are having with retention of this viable workforce. Participants will gain clarity on some of the overarching stereotypes, calm a lot of the fears and deter a lot of the roadblocks that employers make for themselves. Additionally, we’ll address EEO, USERRA and OFCCP guidance and discuss the programs such as the Hire Veterans Medallion program that are being pushed by the new administration and some that came about in the last administration but employers aren’t aware of. Finally, the presentation will highlight some of the programs that can assist employers with building a pipeline for future employment opportunities and discuss briefly the opportunity to receive grant funding along the way.
