Understanding Employers' Hiring Intentions in Relation to Qualified Workers with Disabilities
Increasing attention is being paid to the role of people with disabilities in the workplace. Although most research focuses on employers' concerns, many companies are now beginning to share their successes. The special needs population is an underserved community in the corporate workplace, but Bank of America and Marc Woods knows there is much value for people in this group because they have a skill set that other members of the community just don’t have. Bank of America also prides itself in giving people who might face barriers to gainful employment a chance to earn a living and find a sense of purpose they haven't been able to find anywhere else.
During his keynote Marc will discuss an overview of his department and how they fit within Bank of America. He will also touch on the following points:
- Hiring/sourcing
- Internal support
- Type of work/projects that we look for
