This annual fall meeting of human resource professionals is the official State of Texas SHRM Conference. It features nationally recognized speakers, outstanding workshops, and over 200 exhibitors showcasing the latest in human resource related products and services. - HRConnect: Member-to-Member Online Networking
Join a discussion group, look up a member in the directory, ask your peers a burning question or see what your fellow members are blogging about. All you need is your member login to get started. HRConnect is a trusted online forum open to only current DallasHR members. You are automatically subscribed to the Open Forum daily email digest when you join DallasHR.
Member, Alice McAbee says, "DallasHR's Open Forum is the only HR discussion board I that I follow every day!"
- Human Resources Accreditation Resources
DallasHR supports both the SHRM and HRCI certifications for our members. The HRCI certifications build human resources knowledge and the SHRM certifications provide HR professionals with the competency to apply it. In addition, the organization offers 10-week HR Certification Study Groups which presents attendees with resources to help prepare for both the HRCI and SHRM certification exams. In addition, this venue offers attendees the opportunity to meet and form study groups with others in their area who are preparing for the test.
- Legislative Affairs
The Association keeps members apprised of pending local, state, and federal legislation that may impact areas of concern for human resource professionals. Who should attend?
Any current DallasHR member is welcome to attend! This meeting is for all new and current members who want to learn how to Maximize their DallasHR Membership.
Is it required?
These meetings are encouraged for all new and current DallasHR members, but not required. RSVP’s are requested.
What do I bring?
Business cards are encouraged since this is one of the many opportunities you will have to network with other DallasHR members. Please do not bring marketing material for distribution.
How do I get there?
Meetings are at the DallasHR office unless otherwise noted above: 5001 LBJ Fwy, Ste 800. We’re on the Northwest corner of LBJ and the Dallas North Tollway, in the Argosy University building.

- Round Tables (formerly Professional Emphasis Groups/PEGs)
The Round Tables provide an avenue for continuing HR learning, connection and collaboration in specialized areas of practice and interest within the DallasHR membership. DallasHR membership is required to participate in Round Table groups. Members, who have a bona fide interest in the practice area or industry represented by the Round Table and would like to build a professional network, advance their HR knowledge and communicate information, are encouraged to participate.
