HR’s Role in Cyber Security
March 30, 2017
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
In the 2016 Cyber Security Intelligence Index, IBM found that 60% of all cyber security breaches were caused by insiders within the organization. Of these attacks, three-quarters involved malicious intent and one-quarter involved inadvertent actors. Policies, technology and training help address the risk, but the foundational problem generally goes unaddressed and undervalued.
A major component of internal cyber security breaches is not just poor cyber security awareness and policies but the heart of the organizational culture.
The role that culture plays is an unmistakable missing element to mitigating data breaches and reveals the importance of creating an organizational culture of caring, engagement and leadership that makes an organization and their teams cyber resilient.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn how to measure the engagement of your teams
- Understand the basics of inadvertent leaks and what to avoid
- Increase team engagement and willingness to protect the organization
- Value meeting the foundational human needs of staff to earn loyalty.
