Wage & Hour Trends and Enforcement Initiatives
Governmental Affairs and Jackson Lewis Breakfast Series Program
June 19, 2008
8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Presented by: Paul DeCamp, Jackson Lewis
About the Program:
Today, employers are more frequently facing expensive collective actions under the federal wage and hour law. Additionally, FLSA collective actions exceed the total actions filed under all of the other federal employment laws combined. In fact, the federal Wage-Hour Division estimates 72% of employers violate the FLSA in some substantive manner. Jackson Lewis attorneys will guide participants through the maze of the current wage and hour trends and discuss recent developments to try to educate employers how to avoid common pitfalls. The program will breakdown into the following sessions:
-Wage & Hour Law from the DOL's Perspective
- The Top Ten Wage & Hour Mistakes Employers Make (And How to Avoid Them)
- DOL's Enforcement Priorities
- Question and Answers
