FAQ's:
Q: Do I need to purchase the SHRM Learning System Modules to take this class?
A: No. All materials required to participate in class will be provided. But, the purchase of additional study materials is encouraged. There are a number of resources available in addition to the SHRM Learning System.
Q: How do I get the materials from a session that I miss?
A: The Study Group volunteer will have, or can get, the instructor's materials for the session you missed.
Q: How do I sign up to take the PHR/SPHR Certification Exam?
A: Visit www.hrci.org for information on testing windows and scheduling or click here for more information. (The regular registration deadline is 3/12/2010 and a late deadline is 4/16/2010.)
Q: How does the study group differ from the university program?
A: The study group does not require the purchase of the SHRM Learning System. Also, while the study group does meet for eight weeks, the total class time is less than that experienced in the university program. The study group is ideal for HR professionals that have a limited budget and feel comfortable in a self-study environment with the option of partnering with HR other professionals in their area.
