About the Speaker
KRISTIN L. BAUER is a Shareholder in the Dallas office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She is also a regional practice coordinator for the firm’s Disability, Leave, and Health Management practice group. Ms. Bauer represents management in employment matters in state and federal court, both in litigation and appeals. She counsels clients on a variety of employment practices, including disability and leave related issues, employment contracts, arbitration agreements, wage and hour issues, restrictive covenants, and employee handbooks and policies. She also conducts preventive management training.
VICTOR CORPUZ is a Partner in the Dallas, Texas office of Jackson Lewis P.C. He was born in Manila, Philippines. Mr. Corpuz attended the University of Iowa and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. He graduated from Drake University School of Law in Des Moines, Iowa. After law school, Mr. Corpuz practiced for eleven years in insurance defense, handling medical malpractice cases, wrongful death cases, and employment law litigation. Since joining Jackson Lewis LLP, in June 2000, Mr. Corpuz has handled workers’ compensation retaliation cases, all claims of discrimination under Title VII, FMLA, ADAAA, and ADEA and their state law equivalents and cases under the FLSA. He has tried numerous cases in state and federal courts and in arbitration. Mr. Corpuz is a frequent speaker and writer on employment-related topics.
KATRIN SCHATZ is Of Counsel in the Dallas office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Ms. Schatz represents management in all major areas of labor and employment law. In her more than 13 years of practice, Ms. Schatz has defended employers nationwide in court, arbitrations and administrative proceedings in a broad range of employment matters, including class, collective and multi-plaintiff actions. She has handled cases involving claims of age, race, disability and gender discrimination, wrongful discharge, whistleblower retaliation, wage and hour and ERISA violations, as well as disputes arising out of covenants not to compete, corporate trade secrets, officer and director fiduciary duties and executive employment contracts. She also represents clients in connection with claims under the public accommodations provisions of the ADA.
