"Perfect Strangers: Getting to Know the Real Applicant"
Employee searches can be exhaustive in terms of time and money. Unfortunately, there is always the underlying risk that you could hire someone who isn't who they say they are. That in itself is damaging in terms of your organization's credibility. It also can be costly in terms of lost data and finances should that person be a criminal.
In this session, attendees will learn the pitfalls of typical background screening processes and why the first step in any background check should be identity verification and authentication to ensure the identity exists and that the applicant owns that identity.
The key points covered in this presentation include:
- The prevelance of identity theft in today's business community and job market
- HR's role in stopping criminals and preventing data breaches
- The pitfalls of standard background screenings
- The components of a comprehensive background search that HR managers should look for, including identity verification and authentication
