Session 1

"Diversity Done Right - A Case Study"
We begin the seminar with an interactive case study. You are the new Director of Human Resources for an East Texas community college with a diverse student body. You are responsible for creating a hiring and retention protocol to meet the diversity expectations of the College President. You devise a strategy which is then analyzed for legality by Jackson Lewis attorneys. |
Session 2
|
“No Good Deed Will go Unpunished”
or
“How Not to Get Sued Under Your Diversity Program”
Many well-intended human resources professionals have sought to diversify their workforce in good faith. They never intended to discriminate against protected groups. Good intentions aside, these well-meaning professionals found themselves on the wrong end of a discrimination lawsuit. This segment of our conference will analyze the mistakes these defendants made in adopting their diversity initiatives so that you do not innocently repeat them in your program’s development. |
