December Monthly Meeting
December 9, 2008
11:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.

“Emotional Eloquence – The Forgotten Language of Leadership”

Emotional eloquence is the natural next step for leaders who have been identified as having a high level of emotional intelligence.  Emotional eloquence is the ability to speak to people’s highest aspirations.  It is a way of giving a speech or presentation where the leader/speaker shares wisdom through stories, metaphors and examples, and inspires people to embrace a new vision, think differently, or behave differently.

Leaders at all levels, but especially executive and director level leaders, need to re-learn how to inspire and motivate, to be wisdom-sharers.  All too often, high level leaders make boring PowerPoint presentations that lower level managers and supervisors should be making.  They report on quarterly earnings rather than painting a picture of a hopeful future.  At a time when they should be charting a bold course and inspiring people to follow their lead, they dwell on details and data.

Emotional eloquence is a new and integral approach to presentation and communication skills for leaders at all levels that references a simpler time when leaders spoke eloquently from their hearts and inspired their employees to follow them towards a better future.

About our Speakers:
