Dallas HR Professional Emphasis Groups are for you!

PEG's are designed to provide an avenue for connection and collaboration in specialized areas of practice and interest within the Dallas HR membership. Dallas HR membership is required to participate in PEG groups. Members, who have a bona fide interest in the practice area or industry represented by the PEG and would like to build a professional network and communicate information, are encouraged to participate.

Compensation PEG - HR Professionals who wish to expand their knowledge and networks in the dynamic field of Compensation and Total Rewards are invited to join this PEG.  No matter what your level -- Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced -- you will find a myriad of timely topics, trends, best practices, and educational seminars to enhance your skills and knowledge in the Compensation field.

Immigration - The main purpose of the Immigration PEG will be to provide an information exchange on the topic of Employee Immigration. The Dallas HR Immigration PEG provides a panel of experts on Immigration topics. This service is for current Dallas HR members only and is easy to utilize! Simply send an email to info@dallashr.org, with "Immigration Question" in the Subject line. Your question will be forwarded to the panel for review and an expert will email an answer directly back to you.

Non-Profit - The Non-Profit PEG meets quarterly, usually over the lunch hour and works to educate HR Professionals in the Non-Profit industry about issues specific to these types of organizations.  At our meetings, we provide speakers with experience and knowledge in specific areas of interest.  We also have a legal newsletter that is emailed monthly, and we are working to further network the group to provide support for one another in an industry that sometimes lacks funding for expensive education and training courses.

Recruiting/Staffing - The purpose of this PEG is to examine, discuss and generate solutions for recruitment problems unique to a corporate environment.  Past discussions have covered selecting vendor, creative recruiting, selecting an ATS and using social networks. Participants have been HR Generalists, Sourcers and Recruiters on all levels and it is a small enough group to encourage roundtable discussions.  We meet the 4th Thursday of the month at the Dallas HR conference room. Service Industry PEG - Interested in the Service industry or currently providing HR support to hotels, motels, restaurants, full service or limited service, gaming, movie theaters, travel, and other hospitality oriented industries on the local or nationwide level?
