Session III: Shaping Culture and Change

February 18th and September 23rd

Session IV: Strategic Project Planning- Optimizing Organizational Performance

February 25th and September 30th

HR's contribution to leading organizational change and impacting culture. The following topics will be covered:

  • Identifying corporate culture
  • Participation in mergers and acquisitions
  • A definition of change and a change agent
  • Steps for implementing change
  • HR's impact on organizational culture

Steps and techniques involved in project planning. The following topics will be covered:

  • What makes a project strategic
  • Four phases of project planning
  • Identifying benefits and scope of the plan
  • Utilize project planning tools on a sample and participant specific project

The total program has been approved for 15.75 strategic recertification credit hours toward PHR and SPHR recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). Each individual session is approved for 3.75 strategic recertification credit hours. The use of this seal is not an endorsement by HR Certification Instititue of the quality of the program. It means this program has met HR Certification Institute's criteria to be pre-approved for recertification credit. About our Instructor:

Deborah Avrin, SPHR, brings over 18 years human resources and training experience to her consulting business. Prior to beginning her practice, Deborah held a variety of top-level HR leadership positions in both financial services and manufacturing. During her career, she has developed and delivered numerous training courses including: Leadership, Communication Skills, Presentation Skills, Performance Appraisal, Interviewing & Teambuilding. Her reputation is as a motivator with an inspiring training style that encourages others to excel.

Her educational background includes a BBA in Human Resources and a Masters Degree in Organizational Behavior. Deborah holds a lifetime Senior Professional in Human Resources certification and is an instructor for the SHRM Workshop for PHR/SPHR certification through the University of Dallas.
