The HRSouthwest Conference Committee Descriptions
Qualifications: Must be a member in good standing of a Texas State SHRM Chapter.
Arrangements: This committee is responsible for onsite food oversight, session audio recording, and plant selection.
Bookstore: This committee is responsible for selecting the books and promotional items available in The HRSouthwest Conference Bookstore; sets up inventory and operates the Bookstore during the Conference; organizes the "close" of the Bookstore at the end of the Conference.
Educational Sessions: This committee selects the educational session speakers, develops the Conference educational programs, recruits introducers to open the sessions, handles all communication between The HRSouthwest Conference and the speakers before, during and after the Conference, and coordinates audio-visual requirements and pre-conference workshops.
Onsite Communications: This committee is responsible for security, photographer, coordination of onsite sign development and placement, phones, internet, and coordination of business service center.
Registration: This committee is responsible for on-site registration.
Special Events: This committee coordinates all entertainment, decorations, Conference prize giveaways, including the Grand Prize and Silent Auction (supporting our student sponsorship winners).
