Title: Human Resources Divisional Director

Job Description: Responsible for the development, direction and coordination of Rent-A-Center field human resources activities for multiple Districts and Regions within a Division. Including, recruitment, selection, coworker relations EEO, quality of management, succession planning. Under direction of the Sr. Director, Human Resources - Field. Key Responsibilities:

Select, develop and supervise Staffing Specialists. Manage employment activities for Division to ensure efficient, professional recruitment and selection of superior individuals, including new store openings. Manage programs to increase coworker retention and control and reduce coworker turnover. Ensure appropriate diversity is maintained in the workforce for the division. Provide consultation, guidance and training to management where applicable on employment practices and related issues such as diversity, coworker counseling, appropriate separation, coworker development, management depth. Consult with division management regarding training opportunities for the division and develop solutions to meet the needs. Assist Field Management with identification assessment and selection of individuals for the operation and growth of the company. Work very closely with Legal, coworker relations and where appropriate investigate issues and represent the company in legal matters, Department of Labor and EEOC hearings etc.. Prepare personnel forecast to project employment, staffing and succession needs ensuring adequate qualified candidates for key positions in all positions. Ensure implementation of directives advising field managers of company policies regarding Human Resources activities such as Recruitment, Equal Employment Opportunities, and Coworker Relations, Compensation, Benefits, are followed by field coworkers by ensuring communication and training needs are met. Remain current regarding legislation, arbitration decisions, to assess industry trends and best practices in Human Resources.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or other related fields Five or more years of directly related retail work experience, or the equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training PHR preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with all levels of management and personnel on a continuous basis Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi task, meet deadlines and see projects through completion Proficiency in PC-based word-processing, spreadsheet and data base management software Experience with automated human resources and payroll systems (Lawson, Taleo)
