Qualifications: Must be a current member of DallasHR in good standing and have held membership for at least one year.
Community Relations partners with local organizations to support the HR industry by raising awareness and serving the needs of our community. A variety of community-centric volunteer opportunities are available to provide our members numerous ways to participate in donating needed supplies and/or time.
Member Engagement reaches out and welcomes new members and helps them become acquainted with the benefits of DallasHR, follows up with members who have not yet renewed, manages the DallasHR Ambassador program providing help and guidance to members during educational and networking events and researches ways to improve the benefit value for all members.
Education plans monthly educational programs, workshops, seminars and webinars for all educational areas of DallasHR. The following committees serve as sub-committees to the Education Committee.
- Round Tables provide an avenue for connection, learning and collaboration in several specialized areas of HR practice and interest. Volunteers are encouraged to serve as leaders to coordinate these groups of members in round table discussions and best practice sharing. Round Table groups include: Compensation & Benefits, Employee Engagement, Global HR, HR Department of One, Organizational Development, Solution & Service Partners.
- Talent Management provides specific programming and resources for recruiting, retention and all aspects of talent management.
- Employment Law & HR Compliance keeps members informed about HR compliance and risk management information, requirements and best practices based on federal, state and local laws as well as potential and pending laws. They work with the Education Committee and the staff to plan legal updates and programming specific to legislation.
Student Engagement oversees and promotes all student activities for DallasHR & The HRSouthwest Conference. The student program includes a mentor program, scholarship review and awarding, monthly luncheon student guest program and support to the on-campus college SHRM chapters.
Career Support coordinates and facilitates meetings and networking to support members of the HR community who are in transition or otherwise seeking to improve their overall career skills.
Workforce Readiness finds and plans programs to prepare the local community to enter or re-enter the workforce. Through the expertise of our membership, programs focus on strengthening job search skills so individuals have a competitive advantage in today’s local market.
Collin CountyHR serves the members who wish to engage and learn within Collin County. Through local programming and recruitment efforts, this committee focuses on continuing the momentum developed in recent years.
