Mentorship Program

Connecting Students and HR Professionals

The DallasHR Mentorship Program is designed to create unique, mutually beneficial relationships between students and local HR professionals. The goal of the program is to provide students with opportunities to expand their knowledge of HR practices, familiarize themselves with the HR profession and to develop professional contacts through interaction with HR professionals.

Mentor Eligibility Requirements

  1. Must be an active member of DallasHR
  2. Must be a current HR practitioner or working in the area of HR
  3. Must be willing to commit sufficient time and effort for the entire school year
  4. Must hold a current HRCI or SHRM certification and/or have five years or more experience in a Professional HR position

Mentee Eligibility Requirements

  1. Must be an active student at a University starting Fall 2018
  2. Must actively participate in a student SHRM chapter or facilitated SHRM chapter
  3. Must be willing to commit sufficient time and effort for the entire school year
  4. Must have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale

Applications

The application period for the 2018 - 2019 school year is now open.  Applications will be accepted through October 1, 2018.
