About the Presenters


This presentation will be led by three leaders in the HR Field in Dallas and moderated by Mike Pierce, Employee Benefits Consultant with Gallagher.


Dustin Jones
Vice President, Human Resources

Dustin Jones began her career in politics, working for a California state congressman, but moved into human resources more than 18 years ago. She has varied experience in several industries, including manufacturing and technology. She joined WorldLink in 2010 and has been instrumental in developing expertise and best practices in HR compliance and change management. Dustin holds a BA in communications from California State University San Marcos. She is an active volunteer for several local charities and associations. An avid runner and outdoor athlete, she regularly competes in 5K races to support local charities, including the USMC MudRun to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Dustin is also a certified Trainer for Achieve Global, a corporate leadership-training program, and has completed the Management program at SMU.

Justin Buckner

Justin has served with FedEx Office for 15 years and is responsible for Total Rewards, HR Systems and Employee Relations. Prior to joining FedEx Office, Justin worked for Children's Medican Center, Atmost Energy, Walmart and Michaels Stores, Inc. He received his BBA and MBA from the University of North Texas.





Maryann O'Connor

Maryann is the  Corporate Human Resources Director with Quest Events, LLC in Frisco.  She has 20 years of HR experience with both large hospitality companies and smaller firms, in New York, Connecticut and Texas.  Maryann’s diverse background in human resources includes strengths in multi-state compliance items, recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, investigations, compensation and succession planning, HR strategic leadership and partnership building.  She received her Business Management degree from Pace University in New York and has a Strategic HR Strategic Leadership Certification through Cornell University. She is a regular guest speaker at several community organizations and local universities on a range of HR topics. She is an active  member of the Society for Human Resources Management organization in both Texas and nationally.  


Mike Pierce

Mike is a Consultant with Gallagher’s Benefits and HR Consulting practice and also serves as a board member with DallasHR.  Prior to joining Gallagher, Mike worked in the Health & Wellness industry working with employers to put in place programs to help ease access to healthcare and maintain a healthier workforce.

 

Payment & Registration Notes

IMPORTANT: Advance registrations are required. Due to catering requirements, we cannot guarantee seating for onsite registrants. To receive cancellation credit, your written request must be received at DallasHR by 12:00 noon, no later than the Wednesday before the meeting.

Payment is due with registration. No POs or requests for invoicing can be honored. Checks should be made payable and mailed (to be received no later than the Wednesday before the meeting) to the DallasHR Office.

Chapter members and guests are not allowed to bring and/or distribute marketing collateral or material other than business cards to any chapter event except paid, sponsoring businesses. Violation of this policy will result in dismissal from the meeting and confiscation of materials. Opportunities to promote products and services are available. Please make arrangements to be on time. Lunch service will cease when the luncheon presentation begins. This is a rule set by the HR Certification Institute for presentations that are approved for credit. Attendees who arrive after 11:45 AM may not be served lunch and your seat may be released to onsite registration attendees.

If you require a vegetarian meal for lunch, you may request one by contacting [email protected]. Please note that you must pre-order veggie meals no later than 9:00 AM on the Monday prior to the event. On-site requests cannot be honored.
