Meet the Speaker

  Anna-Lisa Leefers, PhD
Clinical Associate Professor,
University of Texas-Arlington
Anna-Lisa Leefers, PhD is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington and teaches organizational behavior at the undergraduate level. Dr. Leefers has also served as an Instructor in the Corporate & Executive Education department at UT Dallas and as an Adjunct Professor at Dallas Baptist University’s College of Business. Dr. Leefers’ work has taken her across the globe and multiple industries including telecommunications, high-tech and business services. Her most recent role at Xerox focused on leadership assessment, succession planning, creating learning content and global performance management. Dr. Leefers is skilled in the Korn Ferry 9-box assessment, Dweck’s mindset questionnaire, the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ), and The Leadership Practices Inventory.Prior roles in mergers and acquisitions, compensation & benefits, and as an HR business partner provided close access to executive leaders, usually under challenging circumstances. It was her desire to find deeper answers and better tools to assist her leaders that led Dr. Leefers to complete a PhD in Leadership Studies from Dallas Baptist University’s Cook School of Leadership. Her research examines the intersection of leader mindset and leadership style. She also holds a master’s from DBU and a bachelor’s from Harvard University.In addition to being an educator, Dr. Leefers is also an entrepreneur. She is the President and Founder of The Accomplished Leader, LLC, a boutique consulting and executive coaching firm. Her 20 years of experience in Corporate America provides a grounded, practical lens for the academic research she leverages to bring creative solutions to her clients. An avid writer, Dr. Leefers creates original content on her LinkedIn page about business trends, leadership, and learning. She is working on a podcast, “Curious Convo,” and her first book “The Growth Mindset Leader.”
