Networking is a valuable skill and DallasHR and the Student Engagement Committee are excited to offer a "practice session" for students involved in a University SHRM chapter. Networking, just like other skills, takes practice to become proficient and confident. Here are some tips for how to start conversations with others. *Ask questions and listen *Be open to new connections *Don't be afraid to make the first move *Comment on a shared experience *Be yourself *Maintain your networks Once you have started a conversation with someone, it is easier to find and make connections with them. Networking takes practice, but can pay off as a valuable skill in the workplace and beyond! This is a must attend event allowing students to practice the ins and outs of networking with HR Professionals.
