Scholarships and Awards
DallasHR offers several scholarships that encourage students preparing for work in the field of Human Resource Management.
Excellence in Education Student Scholarship
Up to four students will receive the Excellence in Education Student Scholarship. Earn a $1,000 (made payable to your school) plus split the net proceeds from The HRSouthwest Conference Silent Auction.
Scholarship recipients are selected based upon their academic standing, involvement in their community and campus, and by recommendations of their professors, advisors, and/or employers. In addition, the recipients receive a complimentary registration to The HRSouthwest Conference and up to three nights lodging.

The application submission period has ended for 2018. Applications for 2019 will open in February 2019.
Drew Young Scholarship
The Drew Young Student Scholarship was developed to encourage undergraduate and graduate students preparing for work in the field of human resource management.The winner receives a $2,000.00 cash award (made payable to their school) and complimentary registration to The HRSouthwest Conference.

Student Leader of the Year Award
The Student Leader of the Year Award is given to an officer in a SHRM Student Chapter for the prior school year. The nominees must be a current DallasHR student member (or recent grad); have participated in at least one DallasHR event during the school year and must have been enrolled full-time at their University during the entire prior school year. The winner will be recognized at the DallasHR HRSTARS Award Gala in December.
