Human Resource Executive of the Year - Small, Medium, and Large Company

 

This award is given in three different categories, by size of company.  A small company has 99 or fewer employees, medium sized company has 100 - 499 employees and a large sized company has more than 500 employees.

The Executive of the Year Award recognizes a human resources leader from a small, medium, or large company who has made outstanding contributions to their organization, who exemplifies the increasingly strategic role of HR today, and who gives back to their community.

Nominees are selected by their peers and colleagues and must be actively employed as an HR executive or HR leader in their organization. The selection process includes an application, review of nominee's professional accomplishments and activities, and an interview process







Recruiting Team of the Year

 

This award is brought to you by the Texas Recruiters Network, an association of recruiters and human resource professionals.

The Recruiting Team of the Year Award recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of both corporate and agency recruiters in the DFW area.  Nominees are selected by a panel of judges based on their recruiting success and business impact during the last 12 months.  Evaluated criteria includes customer satisfaction, innovation, use of tools and technologies, protecting the candidate experience and overall company impact.



RECRUITING Leader OF THE YEAR

 

This award is brought to you by the Texas Recruiters Network, an association of recruiters and human resource professionals.

The Recruiting Leader of the Year Award recognizes a talent acquisition leader who has made outstanding contributions to their organization, who exemplifies the increasingly strategic role of HR today, and who gives back to their community.  The "Recruiting Leader of the Year" will be chosen by a panel of judges and will be based on the recruiting success and business impact of the recruiting teams during the last 12 months.  The criteria used in the evaluation include: customer satisfaction, innovation, use of tools and technologies, the candidate experience, and the overall company impact.

Emerging HR Leader of the Year  

 

The Emerging HR Leader of the Year Award recognizes an HR game changer of the future who has five or fewer years of HR experience or is 35 years of age or younger and whose dedication to HR has made an impact both in the HR community and at his or her company.  Nominees are selected by their peers and colleagues and must be actively employed as an HR executive or HR leader in their organization. The selection process includes an application, review of nominee's professional accomplishments and activities, and an interview process.

HR Student Leader of the Year

 

The HR Student Leader of the Year Award is given to an officer in a SHRM student chapter for the prior school year.  The nominees must be a current member of a SHRM Affiliated Student Chapter (or recent grad) and must have been enrolled full-time at their university during the entire prior school year.

Nominees are selected by their peers and colleagues and must be actively employed as an HR executive or HR leader in their organization. The selection process includes an application, review of nominee's professional accomplishments and activities, and an interview process





Change Champion Leader or Team of the Year  


The
Change Champion Award recognizes an individual or team who has made impactful strides in changing the way business is done. The impact may be a result of changing business conditions, the impact of the pandemic, the “Great Resignation”, or other factors. 

Nominees are selected by their peers and colleagues and must be actively employed as an HR executive or HR leader in their organization. The selection process includes an application, review of nominee's professional accomplishments and activities, and an interview process



DEI Leader of the Year

 

The DEI Leader of the Year Award recognizes an individual who has made great strides in developing and leading diversity initiatives over the last 12 months and who has garnered visible CEO and C-suite commitment.

Nominees are selected by their peers and colleagues and must be actively employed as an HR executive or HR leader in their organization. The selection process includes an application, review of nominee's professional accomplishments and activities, and an interview process



HR Team of the Year

 

The HR Team of the Year award recognizes a group of human resources professionals who have exemplified success as a team and have been able to tackle difficult business challenges while enhancing the role of the HR function in the past 12 months.  The team must include three people or more. The team can include any HR roles or positions like generalists, specialists, benefits and compensation, talent acquisition, learning and development, etc.

Nominees are selected by their peers and colleagues and must be actively employed as an HR executive or HR leader in their organization. The selection process includes an application, review of nominee's professional accomplishments and activities, and an interview process


NOMINATION SUBMISSION INFORMATION 

 

  • All award nominees must be based in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex
  • All award nominees must be actively employed and must have demonstrated excellence in the field of HR through September 30, 2023. Student award nominees must be currently enrolled full-time at a college or university.
  • All submissions must be completed in their entirety by midnight, November 30, 2023.  Failure to submit a 100% completed Nomination Form could result in entry disqualification.
  • Nominees do not have to be members of DallasHR to participate but Student Leader of the Year nominees MUST be a member of their local SHRM Student Chapter
  • Nominees may be entered into no more than two different categories. You must fill out a complete Nomination Form for each award category.  No more than three entries per nominee. 
  • Self nomination is allowed and encouraged
  • All finalists and their guests are required to purchase Gala tickets. Full-time student finalists will receive one comp ticket for admission.


Additional details and deadlines will be sent directly to the finalists. All entrants acknowledge that DallasHR has the right to utilize photos and entry information for marketing purposes.

JUDGING INFORMATION  

 

  • Judges for the HR Executive of the Year, HR Team of the Year, HR Change Champion and DEI Leader of the Year are  senior human resources executives not affiliated with any chapter volunteer leader roles or are DallasHR Board of Trustees  
  • Judges for the Recruiting Team of the Year Award are personnel from DFW Texas Recruiters Network
  • Nominations may be received from organizations where the judges are employed. If that occurs, the respective judge will not be eligible to participate in that award evaluation and selection.
  • The judging panel reserves the right to reject or disqualify an entry which does not conform to the entry rules and guidelines or is not completed in its entirety. Entries deemed not qualified for the desired award may be removed from consideration.
  • The judging panel may choose to move an entry to another category if they consider that category more appropriate for the nomination.
  • The judging panel reserves the right to not give out an award in any category where the number or quality of entries received are insufficient to provide competition
