DallasHR Volunteer of the Year: Award Recipient & Finalists

The DallasHR Volunteer of the Year Award is given to one volunteer committee member whose hard work and commitment have made a significant impact in serving DallasHR and its membership. Each month a committee volunteer is recognized for his or her service.  Nominees are chosen monthly throughout the year by the sitting DallasHR Board of Directors.

Natalie Storrs - Advancial Federal Credit Union 

Natalie Storrs manages Business Development for Advancial, a credit union exclusively serving its partner organizations to provide financial wellness benefits to their employees or members.  Before her move to Advancial in 2015, Natalie had a successful career in hospitality sales and service for nearly 20 years, where she planned and executed high level board meetings, weddings, conferences and galas.   Her commitment to being a trusted client advocate and her warm, approachable style has gleaned her success in all roles she’s taken on.  She believes building personal and authentic relationships is key to one’s legacy, which is why she enjoys DallasHR and its Community so much!  She’s proud to claim DHR membership since 2015.

Natalie currently serves DallasHR on Collin CountyHR and DHR Member Engagement Committees, has been a Chapter Ambassador for three years, and contributed to DHR Strategic Marketing Committee in 2018.  When not teaching her teenage son Noah how to drive, Natalie volunteers weekly at Mane Gait in McKinney, a therapeutic riding stable for handi-abled children and soldiers.  She helps manage the barn and horses as well as work with the riders to reach beyond their boundaries.

Kitty Maxey, SPHR, SHRM-SP - MaxeyHR LLC 


Kitty Maxey, of MaxeyHR LLC has over 30 years of human resource generalist experience.  She has an active HR consulting practice focusing on small to mid-size companies with needs for fractional HR or special projects.    In addition to her professional certifications, Kitty holds a Bachelor Degree of Arts in English and a Master of Science Degree in Human Relations and Business.  Kitty began her career in human resources at Zale Corporation where she wrote training and policy and procedure manuals to support store and corporate operations.   Throughout her career Kitty has worked in a variety of human resource functions from training, career development, job placement, recruiting, establishing and building the human resource department for a large private medical practice as its director, to stepping out on her own as a consultant.   It has been said by others that human resources is in Kitty’s DNA.  Human resource work can require a significant time commitment, however, Kitty believes that it is critical to give back to the community through volunteering.  Her philosophy on volunteering is simple; don’t sign up for something unless you can do it because your word is your bond.  Recently, Kitty has served on the DallasHR Workforce Readiness/Community Relations Committee,  Dallas City Library volunteer and the White Rock Valley Sleigh Ride to support Pamper Lake Highlands. 
 

Judie Reynolds - Monster 


Judie Reynolds serves on the Career Support Committee and considers it a joy and a privilege to be a member of DallasHR. Judie is an open networker and an active member of the Global Talent Acquisition and HR community. She has a passion for exploring and discussing the latest recruiting technology and industry trends. As a candidate advocate, Judie also volunteers her time to help job-seekers navigate their way through the job search experience. In her professional role at Monster Worldwide, Judie works with Enterprise Clients where she provides customized technology and media solutions to help companies reach, engage and hire qualified candidates for their organizations.  Prior to joining Monster, Judie held corporate recruiting positions at Altisource Solutions and Kimberly Clark. She has additional recruiting and business development experience as a full-desk agency recruiter with Lucas Group and Bolton Group. Originally from Chicago, Judie now resides in Uptown Dallas. In her free time, she enjoys travel, the arts, cycling, golf and competitive stair-climbing to benefit non-profits such as the American Lung Association and The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
