HRSTARS Nomination Information 

Nominate the HR rock star in your life!  Or nominate yourself.  The nomination period for the 2020 HRSTARS Awards will open this summer. In the meantime, review the categories and nomination form requirements and start thinking about who you will nominate for an HRSTARS Award for 2020.
 


Human Resource Executive of the Year 

This award is given in three different categories, by size of company.  A small company has 100 employees or less, Medium sized company has 1,000 employees or less and a Mega sized company has more than 1,000 employees.

The Human Resources Executive of the Year Award recognizes outstanding human resource executives and leaders in the community who have made outstanding contributions to their organization and exemplify the strategic role of human resources in the past 12 months. Nominees must have at least 10 years of HR experience, with at least five years in a management role demonstrating leadership, enthusiasm and proven successes in the workplace.  Nominees are selected by their peers and colleagues and must be actively employed as an HR executive or HR leader in their organization.


Recruiting Team of the Year

This award is brought to you by the Texas Recruiters Network, an association of recruiters and human resource professionals.

The Recruiting Team of the Year Award recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of both corporate and agency recruiters in the DFW area.  Nominees are selected by a panel of judges based on their recruiting success and business impact during the last 12 months.  Evaluated criteria includes customer satisfaction, innovation, use of tools and technologies, protecting the candidate experience and overall company impact.
 


Emerging HR Leader of the Year  

The Emerging HR Leader of the Year Award recognizes a human resource practitioner who is under 35 years of age or has been in the industry less than five years and whose dedication to HR has made an impact both in the community and at his or her company. 
 


HR Student Leader of the Year

The HR Student Leader of the Year Award recognizes a student in HR who is active in their field of study. They are an officer of their on campus, Student SHRM Chapter Student Chapter for the prior school year.  The nominee must be a current DallasHR member (student or recent grad) and have participated in at least one DallasHR event during the school year and must have been enrolled full-time at their university during the entire prior school year.  
 


Chapter Volunteer of the Year

DallasHR thanks its more than 100 volunteers that work tirelessly to ensure the success of our Chapter.

The Chapter Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes one volunteer committee member whose hard work and commitment have made a significant impact in serving DallasHR and its membership. This individual is a team player, enjoys doing a variety of projects and keeps the chapter moving toward its annual goals.  Each month, a committee volunteer is recognized for their service.  At the end of the year, all twelve nominees are eligible to receive the award.
 


Chapter Volunteer Leader of the Year 

The DallasHR Chapter boasts more than 2,300 active members and our volunteers work tirelessly to meet their expectations and encourage membership.

The Chapter Volunteer Leader of the Year Award recognizes one DallasHR Chapter volunteer director on the Operations Board whose hard work and dedication have made a significant impact in serving DallasHR and its membership.  This individual utilizes their leadership or team management skills to drive results for their committee and understands the importance the volunteer leader role is for the chapter to meet its annual goals. 
 


Conference Volunteer of the Year

In its 79th year, The HRSouthwest Conference utilizes close to 100 volunteers leading up to and onsite at THE HR event of the year. 

The Conference Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes one committee volunteer whose hard work and commitment have made a significant impact in serving The HRSouthwest Conference This individual is a team player, enjoys doing a variety of projects and keeps projects moving toward its annual goals.  Each month, a committee member is recognized for their service.  At the end of the year, these volunteers are eligible to receive the award. 
 


Conference Volunteer Leader of the Year

In it’s 79th year, The HRSouthwest Conference utilizes close to 100 volunteers leading up to and onsite at THE HR event of the year. 

The Conference Volunteer Leader of the Year Award recognizes one HRSouthwest Conference volunteer director on the Operations Board whose hard work and commitment have made a significant impact in serving The HRSouthwest Conference and the more than 2000 in attendance.  This individual utilizes their leadership or team management skills to drive results for their committee and understands the importance the volunteer leader role is for the conference to meet its annual goals. 
 

IMPORTANT NOMINATION ENTRY RULES & ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

1. All award nominees must be actively employed or in school and must have demonstrated excellence in the field of HR this calendar year - January 1, 2019 through September 2, 2019. Student award nominees must be currently enrolled full-time at a university.

2. All award nominees must be based in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex to be eligible to enter.  

3. All submissions must be completed in their entirety by midnight, September 2, 2019.  Failure to submit a 100% complete submission form (including nominees resume) could result in entry disqualification.

4. Nominees do not have to be a member of DallasHR to participate.  Volunteers of the Year for DallasHR and The HRSouthwest Conference must be current year members and volunteers.

5.  Nominees may be entered into two different categories if both suit them. In this case, you must fill out a 100% complete nomination form for each award category.  No more than three entries per nominee.  You can enter yourself. The judging panel can, at their discretion, move an entry into another category if they feel it is better suited for the entry.  

6. No more than three entries per submitter is allowed.  One nominee for two different categories is counted as one submission.

7. Upon the completion of judging, finalists will be informed and are REQUIRED to submit the following three things for use on HRSTARS Award web pages, event program, local advertisements and other marketing material: 
          A.) Professional head shot, must be color, portrait oriented (not horizontal) and must include face and shoulders. No other photos will be accepted. 
          B.) Company logo in .eps and .jpg and 
          C.) A 300 word biography of HR excellence corresponding with the award nomination and 
          D.) Company logo in both .eps and .jpg, full color. 
   
     All entrants must acknowledge that DallasHR has the right to utilize photos and entry information for marketing purposes. 

8. Additional details and deadlines will be sent directly to the finalists.

 

Judging Panel

1. Judges include members from the DallasHR Board of Directors and past award recipients.  The Recruiting Team of the Year award is judged by personnel from DFW Recruiters Network.
2. All judges and their immediate families and/or companies are not eligible to enter.
3. The panel reserves the right to reject or disqualify and entry which does not conform to the entry rules and guidelines or isn't completed in its entirety. Entries deemed not qualified for the desired award can be removed from the running.
