The Top 5 Mistakes HR Makes That Cause Lawsuits

Failure to act. Overreaction. Kindness. Political correctness. Lack of training. Mistakes can cause lawsuits – even well-meaning or good-natured mistakes. This session will address the top five mistakes that HR professionals often make that either cause lawsuits by employees or increase the likelihood of them. Learn how to recognize these mistakes before they happen and prevent them in your workplace. In doing so, learn how to minimize the potential of employment lawsuits against your company.

Learning Objectives:
  • Recognize and prevent common litigation-causing mistakes
  • Identify some of the most common causes of employment lawsuits
  • Develop best practices for operating and maintaining your HR department and your HR policies and procedures
