DallasHR Volunteer of the Month

Glynnis Swan

SR. Global Operations Lead/Equity
Cap Relo

Glynnis Swan has been a member of the Community Relations Committee at Dallas HR for 2 years now.  We are so excited to honor her in the work she has put into her latest event supporting Minnie’s Food Pantry in Plano, where 110 families were served through her efforts and those of the DallasHR volunteers.  As Director and Director-Elect, we’ve enjoyed seeing Glynnis step outside of her comfort zone to grow both personally and professionally.  Glynnis is a shining example of how getting involved in an organization (DallasHR) can serve as a ripple effect, impacting us individually as well as our professional community and our community at large.  Congrats Glynnis and Thank you! -Kelly Barringer, DallasHR Community Relations Director & Chris Chaillot, DallasHR Community Relations Director-Elect

HRSouthwest Conference Volunteer of the Month

Mary Williams

Human Resources Manager
Niagara Bottling, LLC

“Mary Williams has been a member of the Special Events Committee for several years and she really helped serve as the backbone and stability mechanism for both Jennifer and myself during the 2019 HRSWC.  Mary was the go-to committee member who could anticipate our needs, step in and get various tasks accomplished and who supported us with a great attitude and willingness to do whatever was necessary to make us successful as a group.  She really stood out to me, among a group of stellar committee members, because of humble spirit, go-getter attitude, and hilarious wit.  Always up at the early-morning meetings, helping us stay organized, helping us to clearly communicate among the committee, and other invaluable tasks that she helped with during the conference, are all reasons why I nominated her for VOM.  She is truly someone who I will count as a close personal friend for years and I have thoroughly enjoyed working with her on the SE committee.” – Brian Hayes, HRSWC Special Events Director
