Global Payroll: Case Studies from Around the World

Join us for an in-depth overview of payroll in foreign countries that will include defining industry terminology and acronyms, explaining the statutory taxes, types of employer compensation and benefit packages and treatment of the related perquisites.  We will review the challenges when providing global payroll in different countries and industry best practices in overcoming those challenges.

Learning Objectives:
  • Participants will be expertly lead through case studies on payroll in other countries
  • Participants will be able to communicate about the challenges faced in doing payroll in multiple countries and will learn about best practices to overcome these obstacles
  • Participants will learn about the different types of compensation and benefit packages used by international companies
  • Participants will learn about the tax treatment of perquisites in other countries

About the Speaker

REBEKAH ROSS, CEBS, GBA, SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - DOMESTIC & INTERNATIONAL BENEFITS, IPS ADVISORS, INC.

As Global Employee Benefits Specialist for IPS Advisors, Rebekah Ross has a long line of industry credentials and excellent experience to help design and implement employee benefit plans that deliver bottom-line results for employers and successful outcomes for employees.

Prior to joining IPS, Rebekah served in various leadership roles specifically related to: Account Management, Consulting, Human Resources, Payroll, Corporate Training, and Communication. For most of her 18 years of insurance experience, she has worked with employers to design and implement employee benefit plans for domestic and global employers. Her experience has given her a 360 degree perspective of how employee benefits affect both employer and employee.  Rebekah's global expertise and experience encompasses a client base spanning over 40 countries and includes advice and consulting in all of the major benefit service areas, greater global consistency and management of company benefit policies and objectives, and assistance with ex-patriates, in-patriots, and traveling executives.

Rebekah is client focused, successful in managing total cost of risk, and has developed strong market relationships with top executives of insurance carriers and effort to provide customers with direct, rapid access to key decision-makers. She provides executive level attention in her 'client first' philosophy to foster and maintain IPS' signature services: international employee benefits, compliance and regulatory support, employee communication, wellness programs, and benchmarking for large multinational and/or one international location. 

Rebekah is a member of The International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists. She holds her L&H license as well as her GBA designation and Certificate in Global Benefits Management. Rebekah is also currently pursuing a degree in International Business and obtaining her CEBS designation.

To receive cancellation credit, credit your written request must be received at DallasHR no later than 5 days prior to the start of the class.
