Manager and Leader 101

In a recent survey, two-thirds of executives list Leadership Development as their number one  concern
•     Companies spend over $14 billion a year on leadership development programs
•     The vast majority of programs fail to achieve their desired intent (McKinsey)

Effective leaders, managers, and supervisors drive employee engagement, retention, customer satisfaction, revenue, and profits.
Do some of your supervisors and managers excel while others struggle?  Do you spend unnecessary time cleaning up messes created by unskilled or uninterested people in positions of leadership?   People are often promoted to leadership positions because they demonstrate a level of proficiency in a technical skill, but they are not always given the tools and frameworks necessary to succeed in their new position.

This session focuses on how to help people transition from “Champion” (expert in their field) to become an effective Leader.

Upon completion of this ½-day workshop, participants will be able to:
Describe and embrace the Leadership Mindset
Confidently identify where they should be spending their time
Explain and overcome resistance to change
Create a personal vision for their span of control
Describe what motivates people, and how to make them more effective
Become the boss that everyone wants to work for
