Florence Epelfeld, Digital Marketing/Business Experience Specialist

Florence joined DallasHR in August 2017 as our Office Coordinator and is currently our Digital Marketing/Business Experience Specialist. She supports the organization’s staff and volunteers with responsibilities including database maintenance, office and event operations, and digital marketing. Florence also manages the sales and fulfillment for exhibitor and sponsors, as well as attendee relations for the HRSouthwest Conference. 

Timothy Gunn, Director of Membership

Since June 2017, Tim has served as the director of membership for DallasHR.  He is responsible for the acquisition and retention efforts for the chapter. In his role he directs member engagement and operational activities supporting the overall strategic growth and engagement of DallasHR chapter members and HRSouthwest Conference attendees. Tim works closely with the chapter leadership on programs to enrich and enhance the value of a member’s experience. He frequently attends chapter events to hear first-hand how members are utilizing their benefits and to better understand the ever-changing needs of the profession. 

Kristi Johnson, CMP, CMM, Director of Brand Marketing

As director of brand marketing, Kristi is responsible for the development and execution of the marketing strategy, PR and communication approach and brand awareness for both DallasHR and The HRSouthwest Conference. Utilizing lifecycle marketing strategies, Kristi drives both digital and traditional marketing and communication efforts for the chapter in support of member acquisition and retention, vendor engagement and participation and educational event attendance throughout the year. Kristi joined DallasHR in January 2017. 

Kristyn Rickman, CMP, Manager of Events

Kristyn joined DallasHR in May 2021, bringing more than seven years experience in the meetings and events industry. As the Manager of Events, Kristyn oversees the planning logistics for Chapter events and acts as the main point of contact for HRSouthwest Conference vendors. She works closely with DallasHR staff and the Board of Directors to ensure our members have unique and memorable experiences at DallasHR events.

Jimmy Taylor, Executive Director

Jimmy joined DallasHR as executive director in April 2022. Jimmy brings more than 20 years of both HR and SHRM chapter leadership to DallasHR and the HRSouthwest Conference. As Executive Director, Jimmy reports to the Board of Trustee’s and is responsible for leading strategic initiatives and overseeing the operations of the organization. He partners with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers in our mission to advance and connect the regional HR community.




Erin Swain, M.Ed., Director of Learning and Development

Erin joined DallasHR in October 2019 as the Manager of Education, responsible for developing, implementing and delivering HR educational opportunities for both DallasHR and the HRSouthwest Conference to provide HR professionals with relevant and timely knowledge.  Prior to this role, Erin worked for the Plano Independent School District as a classroom teacher, a Dyslexia Therapist, and most recently, an Elementary Instructional Specialist. 

Brian Wilsford, Sr. Manager of IT

Brian Wilsford joined DallasHR as senior manager of IT (Information Technology) in January 2018. Brian is responsible for guiding the technology and information strategy of the organization and supporting the department mission of providing a strong technology foundation for DallasHR. He supports staff by developing technology projects, and providing resources to strategically manage, implement and maintain DallasHR’s project deliverables. He oversees all IT functions of the organization and ensures efficient operation of the IT department in alignment with the strategic objectives of the organization.
