Community Service Event - Richardson Mayor's Summer Internship Program

The Richardson Mayor's Summer Internship Program supports RMSIP student applicants by giving them an opportunity to participate in a mock interview with a business professional to provide feedback, critique and help the student prepare for the program’s Job Fair and internship interview process in early May. Students are high school juniors who attend Richardson ISD or live in the City of Richardson. Students are competing for internships that will be virtual, on-site or combination of both, working 12-40 hours per week during the summer and making $12 per hour or more. The program is still actively recruiting employers to sponsor students this summer.

Volunteer Qualifications:

• experience with interviewing or provided interview training
• Review 1-2 student resumes prior to the session scheduled to volunteer
• Open to participate in 25 min. zoom mock interview session with 1-2 students
• Volunteers will be receiving Zoom link and additional information about mock interview session three days before the scheduled event
• During 25 min. zoom sessions, provide input to students on their interviewing skills

All HR practitioners are welcome! This opportunity is not limited to DallasHR members.  Please invite your colleagues, team members, HR departments.  Each volunteer is required to sign up individually online.
