DFW Labor and Housing Market Outlook

The labor market has been in a constant state of disruption for the past four years, but DFW has remained one of the top destinations for new jobs. This year brings a different set of challenges as the economy continues to try to find balance. Headline numbers indicate a very healthy economy and job market, but it does not feel that way for many individuals and businesses. Additionally, the performance of the housing market is very important to the growth of our metroplex; and the trends have been volatile to say the least, with broader implications for hiring and compensation. Join this session to hear two local chief economists share their perspectives on DFW’s labor and housing markets and what to expect in the year ahead.

Learning Objectives:

  • Strongest industries for job growth in DFW
  • Why the labor market feels different than what you hear and read
  • Wage and turnover trends
  • Trends for housing, the highest personal expense of your employees
